WEAVE DANCE COMPANY OUT OF OUR SKIN

In Out of Our Skin, Weave intends to break the laws of gravity, boundaries of emotion and rules regarding women and their proper place in society. A special evening of dance by Houston’s compelling all-women modern dance group, Out of Our Skin includes a collection of pieces by company members plus Emulo by Costa Rican choreographer Jimmy Ortiz and the premiere of a new piece by Seattle choreographer Llory Wilson.

Weave performs fresh provocative and pioneering modern dance works and is dedicated to celebrating the journey of women. Weave, only two years old, includes Bonnie Boykin Buster, Janie Carothers, Juliet Hicks, Jennifer Lawson, Megan Lyle and Maria Montes de Oca and has earned acclaim throughout the region for innovative and athletic performances.
