SonicWorks 1996: 20 Years of the Avant-Garde

The SonicWorks Music Festival featured the music of emerging, under-recognized, and established composers from the Houston region, as well as new and experimental musicians from around the country and abroad. This 20th anniversary of Scott Summers’ Avant-Garde Program celebrates his dedication to promoting experimental music and educating the public audience about the musical work of our time. It consisted of 3 days of concerts by composers/performers The Art Guys, Mary Carol Warwick, Bill Kelley, GlenCarman, Robert Pearson, Voice of Eye, Tom Bickley, and Elise.
