Houston Gay & Lesbian Film Festival

This event featured three different artists each day and consisted of video shorts and documentary work. The event was curated by Artist Advisory Board members Laura Kellner and Travis Mader.

Friday: Thomas Allen Harris “explores desire, ambivalence and the construction of diasporic identity through a critical engagement with questions of blackness, sexuality, and the body.”

Saturday: A series of lesbian shorts from several media makers were shown, including those from Pratibha Parmer, Kim Longinotto, Jano Williams, and MichaelHandelmann.

Sunday: a variety of films focused on gay issues in the family community.
