HILLS SNYDER: SUEDE SANDBOX

This exhibit marks the fourth in a series of shows curated by Artist Advisory Board Member Susie Rosmarin for DiverseWorks’ subspace, Suede Sandbox, conceptual cousin of Ultralounge, a haven, quiet cube, beach scene, psychobotanical suggestion. Six works: DivaVertigoSliceTiki TotemOne Eye, One Horn, One LegAmbassador. Not discreet sculpture, but rather components in an overall array, a “semi-site” work, malleable, mutating. The ongoing mutation must also be acknowledged, the overspill, the urge to gather what you feel and take it back with you down the asphalt pathways that connect the comfort zones. Mushrooms and minimalism, nowhere but Texas.
