CHRYSALIS DANCE COMPANY

New York dancer and choreographer Sean Curran joins Chrysalis Dance Company during their 15th anniversary evening of dance works featuring solo works by Curran the Houston premier of Doug Elkins work and new works by Artistic Director Chris Lidvall and resident Choreographer Linda Phenix. Dancing off-Broadway with STOMP, Curran was principle dancer with Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company for 10 years. His work for Chrysalis Dance Company, (Another) A Musing Machine, received rave reviews during our 1996-1997 season from critics and audiences alike. Doug Elkins recently received N.Y.C.’s coveted Bessie Award for choreography and has received critical acclaim from international audiences. Both Lidvall and Phenix have created popular works for dance companies and theaters in Houston and across the country.
