Brian Freeman and Ana Sisnett: Pretty, Witty, and Wild!

This performance was part of the Beyond Desire DiverseWorks series, which celebrated lesbian and gay performance artists. In 1991, San Francisco-based performance artist Brian Freeman created the Black gay male performance group Pomo AfroHomos, touring across the US with performances. At this event, he read from his new work and past favorites from the Pomo group. Austin-based poet Ana Sisnett also read her work, which was inspired by African, Latin American, and Caribbean oral traditions.
