Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company: Still/Here

This performance brought together a collection of movements that demonstrate an artistic vision of dealing with one’s mortality in the face of a terminal illness, showcasing images and dialogue collected from the dance company’s workshops with survivors of illness. “Jones, who is HIV positive and lost his companion of seventeen years to AIDS, developed Still/Here as a means of vanquishing the fear of death and celebrating the fact of life.” Classical composers Kenneth Frazelle and Vernon Reid did original compositions.
