Annie Sprinkle: Post-Post Porn Modernist

The first performance, in the All the Rage: Solo Women’s Voices Series, Post Post Porn Modernist and is Annie Sprinkle’s Houston debut. This as a one-woman autobiographical show celebrates sex, deconstructs pornography, and encourages people to “use their sexuality for personal transformation, physical and emotional healing, and spiritual growth.”

Annie Sprinkle considers sex her hobby, politics, spiritual discipline, expertise, favorite topic of conversation, and the key to her health and happiness. She is one of a pioneering group of women exploring new frontiers in creative sexual expression. She founded Pornographers Promoting Safer Sex and is on the steering committees of Union Labia: Sex Positive Feminists and P.O.N.Y. (Prostitutes of New York). She graduated with honors from the School of the Visual Arts and has studied performance art with Linda Montano, Willem de Ridder, and Frank Moore. Her formal sex teachers include Joseph Kramer, Betty Dodson, and Sunyata Saraswati. Annie has written hundreds of articles for national magazines and written and produced numerous videos, including The Shuts and Goddesses Video Workshop, or How to Be a Sex Goddess in 101 Easy Steps.
