12 MINUTES MAX!

12 Minutes MAX! unveils some unique vision of Texas’ musical underground. Susan Alcorn has spent years forming an original style on the pedal steel guitar. She is possibly that instrument’s premiere innovator.

The Charalambides create an intimate and introspective song/instrumental form that has earned them international recognition through the independent record label, Siltbreeze. Philip Gayle deconstructs the guitar (and other instruments) improvisational. East Babylon Symphony combines the explorations and energy of free jazz with instruments from Asia and Africa. Freedom Sold has styled an avante-garde brand of hip-hop with the use of feedback, electric guitar, and other sound sources.
