Memories of Youth: From the Notebooks of Student Writers

Students grades 2 to 6 read their own poetry and memoirs, after having collected “memories, musings, observations, and strong images in their writer’s notebooks.” This was the culmination of 10 to 20 weeks of the Houston Area Teachers College Writing Project in HISD and Pearland schools. 50 students read each night.
