Kids Create and Play Traditional African Instruments

This was part of X Marks the Sport: Pride and Prejudice in the Thirteenth Generation. After African percussionist, vocalist, and composer Tiye Giraud completed her two-week residency at Kuumba House Repertory Theater, she and the Kuumba Kids performed at DiverseWorks. Kids made their own shakers and learned to play an original composition.
