Sonic Works: Extending the Instrument

This was a New Music Festival extravaganza of sound installations, performances, workshops, and lectures. Part of the goal of the festival was to provide both performances and interactive workshops and discussions to help dispel the myth that “new” or avant-garde music is inaccessible or difficult to understand. It also provided local musicians and composers the chance to interact with each other as well as the greater community.
