Launch Party at DiverseWorks!

October 26, 2009, 6-8pm

The Mitchell Center presents a bold new project from artist-in-residence Karyn Olivier.  Using 13 billboards along the city’s downtown freeways, Olivier will replace the usual advertisements with images of the urban landscape that would be visible if the billboard did not exist - the sky, trees, and buildings obstructed by the ads will now be “revealed.”

Join us at DiverseWorks for the official launch of Inbound: Houston, a public art billboard project with Mitchell Center artist-in-residence Karyn Olivier, on view from October 26 - November 22. The launch event includes live music, billboard viewing, an artist talk with Olivier, plus additional surprise happenings.

Follow Karyn Olivier's blog to learn more about Inbound: Houston.
