No One’s Dog: Opening Reception

No One’s Dog: Opening Reception

Building on DiverseWorks’ long history of social activism through art, Barrio DogsBox 13, and DiverseWorks have teamed up to present No One’s Dog, a community-based project that uses art to bring attention to Houston’s animal overpopulation crisis.

Photographs taken by residents of all ages documenting stray (both owned and homeless), neglected, abused dogs will be on view through August 9.

Additionally, DiverseWorks engaged artist Michael Bise to illustrate a coloring book telling the story of Rusty, one of Barrio Dogs’ greatest success stories. The coloring book will be distributed free of charge, and Michael and Rusty will be at the event.
