Join us for an open forum discussion in the gallery, moderated by Henry G. Sanchez and Xandra Eden that focuses on the artist’s position in society/communities and artist concepts of extraterritoriality and citizenship. Guests include Phillip Pyle II, Pedro Lasch, Deborah Grotfeldt, Terry Suprean, and others. This conversation is part of the Lines Drawn exhibition and project, on view through November 18.

Xandra Eden is the Executive Director & Chief Curator of DiverseWorks.

Henry G. Sanchez is a project-based, social practice artist and curator whose subject matter concentrates on history, the environment, and social justice. He has exhibited his work at various venues in New York City, Turkey, Spain and throughout the United States. Sanchez recently established L.O.C.C.A.: Law Office Center for Citizenship and Art in Houston, Texas. L.O.C.C.A. is an artist think-tank and a community embedded initiative based at a historic law office in Houston’s East End.
