ARTIST GROCERY LIST

ARTIST GROCERY LIST

ARTIST GROCERY LIST is a public program organized by DiverseWorks that invites artists, dancers, and local community members to share their grocery lists and participate in nutritional workshops. Participants will have the opportunity to receive advice from Amy Ell (a dancer, exercise physiologist, and nutrition and culinary arts advisor specializing in raw and plant-based diets) through workshops and small-group shopping trips to the local Fiesta Mart to help make better decisions about food and healthy eating on a budget.

ARTIST GROCERY LIST will conclude with a grocery list/recipe swap in the form of a printed zine and a potluck dinner, to which artists and community members will bring their favorite healthy dishes to share. ARTIST GROCERY LIST is meant to provide a playful platform for community dialogue and exchange of valuable information regarding food, healthy eating, creative cooking, and best practices for shopping on a budget.
